Senior photos with horses in Wisconsin don’t get much better than this—some sessions just hit twice, and this was one of them!

I first photographed Emily and Elliot two years ago for a horse and rider session (you can check out their first session here), and coming back to photograph them again for Emily’s senior pictures felt like the ultimate full-circle moment. Same horse. Same location. Same easy, confident energy. And once again? They nailed it!

We photographed this session at their home just outside of Birnamwood, and going back to the same location made it even more meaningful. Familiar ground, familiar routines, and a whole lot of growth since the last time I was there.

Senior Style Details

Emily brought a lineup of fun, flirty outfits that complemented Elliot perfectly. Each look felt very her—nothing forced, nothing overdone. Just thoughtful styling that worked beautifully with Elliot’s coloring and kept the session cohesive while still giving us plenty of variety.

And somehow, the weather showed up again. Clear skies, warm light, and one of those golden hours that makes you pause mid-session and appreciate it. Soft glow, long shadows, and that calm end-of-day light that always photographs so well.

Full-Circle Moment

The biggest difference this time around was Emily herself. She’s grown into a confident, poised young woman, and it showed effortlessly in front of the camera. Comfortable, natural, and completely at ease with Elliot by her side. Watching that kind of growth from one session to the next is genuinely one of the best parts of this job!
